"What do you want of me, then?!" she shouted at the sky of her little mental world. "What, exactly, will convince you to assist me?" She'd get herself out of this mess if she had to - had been working on it before this intrusion, even - but the Cornerstone would make it all immensely easier and less painful, if she could just coerce it into helping. Unfortunately she was in a few too many pieces to concentrate on negotiations right now.
