Still struggling to assess her situation, she turned to face him, putting a considerable amount of fury into her glare despite the effort it took to catch her breath and stay upright. The idiot had gone for her right shoulder, no doubt trying to spare his friend. Medrau shuddered and clutched at the wound. She'd surely be enjoying the irony if it wasn't so inconvenient. Here Song had always bragged about her odd little defect, claiming that anyone aiming for her heart would miss. She'd not taken the opposite into consideration.
