Why hadn't he just taken her already? Surely the obvious thing to do would be to drag her back, stone and all, and lock her up in Rainbow's End until she let Song come out. At this point, Mabry's healing magic was starting to seem worth the failure. Unless he had gone Sephiroth, in which case he might just take the rock and leave her. She didn't think that was the case, though. Sephiroth shouldn't have been this hesitant.
"Well... Seph?" The words came out heavy and breathless. She winced and curled in on herself a bit more before continuing. "Would it be easier for you... if I just gave you Song now? Let you... have fun... dealing with her in this state?"
